Here it is... the gorgeous crochet flower pattern from our daggy 70's crochet book. Enjoy!

Abbreviations:

Ch = chain, sl st = slip stitch, dc = double crochet, tr = treble crochet, htr = half treble crochet

Make 8 chain, join with sl st to form ring.

1st round - 16 dc in ring, sl st in first dc

2nd round - 4 ch, * 1 tr in next dc, 1 ch; rep from * to end, sl st in 3rd of 4 ch

3rd round - 1 dc in first 1 ch sp, * 5 ch, miss 1 sp, 1 dc in next sp; rep from *, ending with 5 ch, sl st in first dc

4th round - 1 dc in same place as sl st, * (1 dc, 1htr, 5 tr, 1htr, 1dc) in 5 ch loop, 1 dc in dc, rep from *, omitting 1 dc at end of last rep, sl st in first dc. Fasten off.

We used a fine embroidery wool and 3mm crochet hook.
